Oak pollen on your car in St. Augustine

Live oak season here is not decorative. It cakes on paint and clogs every seal if you leave it.

Foam wash on a dark SUV during oak pollen season in St. Augustine, Florida

If you’ve parked under live oaks in Palencia, Nocatee, or Anastasia Island, you already know. The dust is yellow-green, it turns to paste in Florida dew, and it is acidic enough to stain paint if it sits.

How to remove oak pollen without swirling the paint

Pollen is grit. Wiping a dry hood is how you put swirls in a black car before breakfast. Foam first, rinse, then a mitt. That’s why our Driveway wash exists — a proper mobile car wash at the house so you aren’t dragging the tree into a tunnel wash.

If it’s been sitting a week in peak drop, we may add clay or extra decontamination. That’s not a package bait-and-switch. Paste on paint doesn’t come off with shampoo alone.

Pollen inside the car

It comes in on shoes and on the A-pillars when you crack the windows. A Studio interior handles it. Tell us when you call — (904) 201-9156 — if the car has been under oaks all week.
